Old-fashioned
love and old-fashioned rock and roll would best describe a local couple planning
to marry at the Classic Rock Cafe in Oklahoma City in May.
Fans of the legacy and legends of the 50's and 60's, Judy Landry and Terry
Dale, both of Edmond, grew up in the Golden Age of Rock-N-Roll. So it seemed
only fitting when it came to selecting a site that fit their unique
personalities and that would guarantee a fun and exciting event for their
guests, they contacted the Classic Rock Cafe.
"One of the main reasons we selected the Classic Rock Cafe was the
professional and courteous staff. In addition, as avid Elvis fans, the club
provides some of the best Elvis impersonators in the state," Landry said
Elvis impersonators Michael Black and Brian Dunning are both scheduled to
appear at the private affair on May 12 during the reception following the
double-ring ceremony, which is set to begin at 10 a.m.
The couple met through a mutual friend in November 1999 and have been
together ever since.
In addition to being entertained by "Elvis", the couple will
continue their trek back to the 50's and 60's through selected songs of the eras
provided by a DJ service. A cash bar and coined pool tables will also be made
available to those in attendance for the matrimonial sock hop.
"Life passes you by so quickly and to find someone to really love in
this world is rare. We feel very fortunate to have our love and we couldn't
think of a better place to share it with all our friends and family members. I
recommend the Classic Rock for all your wedding arrangements, as well as any
other social event, where privacy, professionalism and great service is a
must."
